With a
breathtaking setting below the escarpment, which
symbolises the town of Ronda, the Huerta Del
Tajo offers a relaxing retreat whilst being just
five minutes from the attractions of the town.
This is a recently reformed farmhouse situated
in one of the most historic parts of Ronda. One
enters the property over a private bridge into a
realm where many remnants of the towns rich and
colourful past can be seen.
The famous
gorge over which the magnificent Puente Nuevo
links the old town with the new is just around
the corner. From the terrace at the front of the
house one enters into the sitting room, which
has comfortable sofa’s around a log burning
stove, satellite television with some English
language channels and video player.
From here,
steps go up to a hallway with off to one side, a
large bathroom with twin sinks, bidet and
lavatory and a bath /shower, which is built into
the natural rock. At the end of the passageway,
is the kitchen, which is well fitted with sinks,
4- ring hob, microwave, refrigerator and
separate freezer and washing machine. The house
has central heating throughout which is heated
through the wood burning stove.
The stairs lead out of the sitting room and
access three bedrooms, two having double beds
with twin beds in the third, all having ample
wardrobe space. The second bathroom is fitted
with shower, lavatory and sink.
Outside, there is a built-in barbecue under a
walnut tree and a terrace with table and chairs
for dining alfresco. The swimming pool is
approximately 50 metres from the house and is
surrounded by lawns. It is tiled and fully
filtrated and measures approximately 8x5 metres
with steps into the shallow end and a poolside
shower.
To the side
of the main house there is a detached apartment,
which caters for two people. It includes a
sitting room/diner fitted with twin sinks, 2
ring ceramic hob, fridge/freezer and microwave
oven. To the side there is a comfortable sofa
around a wood burning stove and television set.
The bathroom between the sitting room and
bedroom has a shower, sink, bidet and lavatory.
The bedroom has twin beds and ample wardrobe
space.
